Our mission is to assist women affected by cancer, raise awareness about Inflammatory Breast Cancer, and give direct funding to patients and research. We work closely with patients and their families that find it hard to make ends meet during their battle with this disease.
Winnie Otto lost both her grandmother, Winifred Grandinetti, and her cousin, Casey Edwards, to breast cancer. Casey’s diagnosis was an aggressive form known as Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). To both honor their memories and help others in similar circumstances, Winnie Otto co-founded A Seed of Hope Foundation in 2013. She embarked on a mission to continue Casey’s legacy of educating women about the disease and fulfilling her goal of raising $50,000 to fund IBC research. Today, the Foundation is committed to surpassing her goal and pursuing Casey’s dream of helping people diagnosed with IBC. Read more about Casey’s story here.
Our team is made up of individuals who share Winnie’s vision and commitment to enhance the lives of others. We take pride in the steps we take, great and small, towards these goals and are pleased to make a difference.
